Stitching and Tailoring Skill Training Program
Umang Foundation organized a hands-on stitching and tailoring training program empowering rural women with practical skills to generate sustainable income from the comfort of their homes. Participants were trained in basic to advanced stitching techniques, garment construction, and professional finishing.

This program did not just teach stitching. It taught courage.

Masala-Making Training Program โ Saravali, Patilpada
Umang Foundation, in collaboration with Saravali Gram Panchayat, successfully conducted a 3-day masala-making training program at Patilpada. Women received expert guidance on spice processing, hygienic packaging, quality control, and basic marketing strategies to launch small-scale income-generating activities from home.
๐ถ๏ธ She had always cooked for her family โ grinding spices by hand, adding love to every meal. Now, those same hands create products that earn her dignity, respect, and her own income. The kitchen was always her strength. Umang Foundation simply helped her turn that strength into a livelihood.

Guidance Camp on Bima Sakhi Scheme โ LIC x Umang Foundation
In a landmark collaboration with Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), Umang Foundation organized a comprehensive guidance camp on the Bima Sakhi scheme โ empowering women to become insurance agents and earn a sustainable income. Women received detailed information on self-employment opportunities, financial independence pathways, and earning prospects in the insurance sector.
๐ก๏ธ She was told all her life that finances were not her domain. The Bima Sakhi camp broke that lie โ placing a pen in her hand and a policy in front of her, saying: this is yours to build. Watching these women ask questions, take notes, lean forward with curiosity โ that is what change looks like.

Survey Initiative under BHASHINI โ National Language Translation Mission
Umang Foundation proudly participated in BHASHINI (National Language Translation Mission), a flagship Digital India initiative by the Ministry of Communications, Government of India. Leveraging Artificial Intelligence, BHASHINI breaks language barriers through multilingual translation, voice and speech technologies โ making digital services accessible in all Indian languages.
Umang Foundation led community-level data collection and awareness drives, ensuring voices from rural Maharashtra were represented in this national mission โ contributing to a digitally inclusive India where no one is left behind because of language.
